HIGH POINT, N.C., Sept. 23, 2026 - Pinnacle Financial Partners continued to grow across North Carolina, reaching $7.7 billion in deposits at June 30, 2026, according to newly released FDIC data. That represents $762 million in growth statewide, including significant growth in every major market. Pinnacle now ranks No. 10 statewide with 1.1% market share, up one rank from 2025.
"We owe these results to clients who choose us and team members who give them reasons to stay," said Rick Callicutt, Pinnacle chairman Carolinas and Virginia. "Deposit market share isn't something we pursue as a statistic. It grows when people choose to deepen a relationship with us or move one from another institution. That makes these results especially meaningful."
The firm posted significant growth in several of the state's local markets.

Across Pinnacle's footprint, the firm grew deposits in 39 MSAs measured by the FDIC and gained share in 29. The firm holds the No. 1 position in six markets across the Southeast, including Nashville, TN, and Columbus, GA, and is top 3 in 15 markets. In Nashville, Pinnacle is the No. 1 bank by deposits with $22.7 billion, and in Atlanta, No. 4 with $17.1 billion.
These results come during Pinnacle's first year as a combined company following its January 2026 merger with Synovus. Throughout integration, local financial advisors have continued to serve clients and pursue new relationships while dedicated teams work on the operational integration behind the scenes. At the same time, local leaders have kept Pinnacle's recruiting engine running, with nine new revenue-producing team members hired in North Carolina through July 15, 2026, adding even more experienced financial professionals with deep local relationships and expertise.
The newly released FDIC data reflects the combined deposits of legacy Pinnacle and Synovus, which had no overlap in North Carolina.
