More than 60 FAA Academy Students Attend Most Recent OKC Meet and Greet

Nov 5, 2026

NATCA President Nick Daniels, Eastern Region Regional Vice President Mike Christine, and National Training Representative Jamaal Haltom (Las Vegas ATCT, LAS) hosted more than 60 FAA Academy students and their guests in Oklahoma City on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026.

Daniels, Christine, and Haltom were joined by Reloaded Committee Member Cameron Haynes (Wichita ATCT, ICT) and Oakland Center FacRep Erik Mandt (Oakland Center, ZOA), answering students' questions about the Union and the air traffic control profession.

During the question-and-answer session, Daniels, Christine, and Haltom were able to share some of their own real-life experiences, demonstrating how the Union supports air traffic controllers throughout their career. The final OKC meet and greet with Academy students is scheduled for Dec. 2, 2026. Dates for the 2027 meet and greets will be announced soon.
