Penn State Altoona student-athlete Daniel Batrus, of Altoona, was chosen as the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Men's Golfer of the Week for the first time in his collegiate career on Sept. 17.
LATROBE, Pa. - Penn State Altoona student-athlete Daniel Batrus, of Altoona, was chosen as the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Men's Golfer of the Week for the first time in his collegiate career on Sept. 17.
Batrus helped the Penn State Altoona men's golf team defeat Westminster College 6-1 on Sept. 13 in the fifth annual Hite Cup match, marking the first time that the Lions won the annual faceoff with the Titans. Batrus defeated Westminster's Josh Furman 7&6, representing the biggest win of the day for the Lions.
The Penn State Altoona men's golf team returns to action Sept. 21 in the NCAA Division III Fall Preview at Mission Resort + Club in Howey-In-The-Hills, Fla., and the Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Invitational at The Country Club of Meadville.
