Tradeweb to Acquire Trumid for $1.97B

Press releases | October 19, 2026

Fried Frank is advising Tradeweb Markets Inc. (Tradeweb), a global leader in electronic trading, on its agreement to acquire Trumid Holdings, LLC (Trumid), a financial technology company and electronic credit trading marketplace, for approximately $1.97 billion.

Tradeweb's and Trumid's platforms have highly complementary trading protocols developed through close collaboration with the dealer community, and the combined suite of credit trading products will further differentiate Tradeweb's multi-asset class platform, in part by expanding into earlier stages of the bond lifecycle, from trade inception to the secondary market on one platform, creating a new differentiated capability for the industry. For more on the acquisition, which is expected to close in the first half of 2027, read Tradeweb's press release.

This transaction is a continuation of Fried Frank's work advising Tradeweb on strategic acquisitions, including on its acquisition of Institutional Cash Distributors, LLC (ICD) in 2024.

M&A and private equity partners Steven Epstein and Adam B. Cohen are leading the Fried Frank team.
