TOPEKA - Kansas Secretary of State Scott Schwab encourages Kansas media to direct voters to the Secretary of State's official elections website, votekansas.gov.
This website is the accurate and up-to-date resource for election information. The .gov signifies increased protections for voter information, a higher level of cybersecurity dictated by the federal government, and privacy standards for the disclosure of sensitive voter data.
Kansans can use votekansas.gov in many ways. Most importantly, by clicking the VoterView icon, voters can find the following:
"When directing audiences to a voter information website," Schwab said, "use votekansas.gov. Any website ending in .org is not from the Secretary of State. We cannot assure such websites are protecting a voter's personal information."
Important Note: Tomorrow, July 28, is the deadline for counties to receive advance mail ballot applications by the close of business.
