Labor Union Update

In spring 2025, the City initiated labor negotiations with all nine employee bargaining units following the conclusion of three-year agreements. Periodic updates have been provided over the past six months, and we are pleased to report that the City has successfully concluded negotiations with the final remaining groups. The agreed-upon 1.3% cost-of-living adjustment and other benefits will be incorporated into the current fiscal year budget, which will be presented to the City Council in February 2026. Negotiations for new contracts with all labor groups will commence again in the spring. The City appreciates the community's interest in this matter and remains committed to fair, transparent, and fiscally responsible labor negotiations. Once finalized, the updated Memorandums of Understanding with each bargaining group will be posted on our website.
