PRESS RELEASE BY THE OFFICE OF THE SPEAKER Courtesy visit by the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Speaker of the House of Representatives

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Anġlu Farrugia, today received on a courtesy visit by Shaymaa Badawi, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Malta.

During the meeting, Speaker Farrugia welcomed Ambassador Badawi and highlighted the longstanding and friendly relations between Malta and Egypt, underscoring the importance of dialogue and cooperation in strengthening bilateral ties. He also referred to the historical, cultural, and Mediterranean links shared by the two countries.

Discussions focused on bilateral relations, parliamentary cooperation, and areas of mutual interest, including regional and international issues of common concern. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further enhancing cooperation and maintaining close collaboration at various levels.

Shaymaa Badawi conveyed the greetings of the Egyptian leadership and expressed her country's desire to continue strengthening the excellent relations with Malta.
