Protect Roadless Lands for Wildlife
The U.S. Department of Agriculture is proposing to allow road construction in some of America's last remaining undeveloped national forest lands, threatening endangered northwestern pond turtles, bull trout, wolverines and many other species that depend on interconnected habitats.
Roadless forests are especially important in Oregon and Washington, where the rule protects nearly 4 million acres. Speak up for wildlife by submitting a comment to the Federal Registry opposing these changes.
The deadline to submit public comments is Tuesday, Oct. 6.
