N. John Bey Sworn In as New President of American Association for Justice

WASHINGTON, DC-N. John Bey was sworn in as the new president of the American Association for Justice® (AAJ®) during its 2026 Annual Convention in Chicago, Ill. Bey, Founder of Bey & Associates, specializes in catastrophic injury, medical malpractice, and defective drugs and products in the state of Georgia, with additional offices in Alabama, Kentucky, Louisiana, and Ohio.

"I'm proud and honored to serve as AAJ's new president,"said Bey. "AAJ has built a community full of exceptionally talented lawyers and advocates, dedicated to sharing resources and knowledge to better serve their clients. The camaraderie and collaboration have been invaluable to the profession, and I look forward to helping my fellow lawyers defend every American's right to seek justice through trial by jury."

Bey has chaired several AAJ committees, including Public Affairs, Membership Oversight, Minority Caucus, and Fairness, Access, Integration, and Representation (FAIR). He has received the Award for Excellence, Minority Caucus Lifetime Achievement Award, Leadership Award, Above and Beyond Award, and Distinguished Service Award. Bey's outstanding leadership has extended well beyond AAJ. Bey previously served as President of the Gate City Bar Association, President-elect of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, Vice President of the Western Trial Lawyers Association, Trustee of the National Civil Justice Institute, Executive Board Member of the Southern Trial Lawyers Association, and on the Board of Governors for the State Bar of Georgia. In and beyond the courtroom, Bey embodies a community-first philosophy, contributing to scholarships for future generations, taking on pro bono cases, and mentoring youth.
