Nornickel and Angara Security to partner on information security

Moscow, 28 April 2025 - Nornickel announces that it has entered into a partnership agreement with Angara Security aimed at strengthening information security for Russia's industrial sector. The agreement opens new avenues for collaboration in protecting critical infrastructure, countering cyber threats, and fostering a corporate culture of security.

As part of the agreement, the parties will jointly develop and implement state-of-the-art cybersecurity solutions tailored to the industry's specific needs, and will actively exchange data on current cyber threats and countermeasures.

Key priorities will include exchanging best practices, training employees in cybersecurity fundamentals, and collaborating on legislative initiatives in the field of information security.

The collaboration also entails organising educational events and sharing expertise through internships and reference visits. This partnership is expected to foster the development of domestic cybersecurity technologies and enable the joint implementation of projects aimed at expanding information protection measures and tools.

Alexey Martyntsev, Director of Nornickel's Information Protection and IT Infrastructure Department: "We are continuing our practice of signing agreements with key players in the cybersecurity market, as it has proven to be effective. We believe that only an open, competitive market, where participants are driven to create high-quality cyber defence solutions, can serve the common goal of building a resilient industry by establishing technological sovereignty."

Sergey Sherstobitov, CEO of Angara Security, emphasised: "The collaboration between Nornickel and Angara Security is long-standing, and today we are taking our cooperation to a new level. The agreement entails sharing data on current cyber threats and best practices for ensuring digital security. Given the proactive stance of both parties and our focus on enhancing the security of Russian businesses as a whole, we expect the impact of this agreement to be significant for the wider professional community."
