The Weekly Wrap - Friday, January 23, 2026

The Code Blue protocol has been activated from Friday night, January 23, through Monday morning, January 26, in response to dangerously low temperatures forecast below 15°F across the Santa Fe region and potential severe winter weather. This activation mobilizes coordinated outreach, transportation, sheltering, and public safety resources to protect vulnerable community members during extreme cold conditions.

Services Available

Shelter Resources

Warehouse 21

Emergency overnight shelter for up to 60 individuals, managed by The Life Link. Pets are allowed.

Open from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m.

Meals served from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Shelter operations conclude at 8 a.m. each day. At that time, free transportation is provided to Agape House for daytime services. Initial pet accommodations are available for approximately five animals. Capacity will be expanded as needed through coordination with the Santa Fe Police Department, Animal Services, and the Animal Shelter.

Agape House

Daytime warming center operated by Urban Alchemy. Pets are allowed.

Open daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Transportation provided by Santa Fe Trails

Transportation

Free daily shuttles will be provided by Santa Fe Transit, including special routes:

Agape House Warming Center to Warehouse 21 Shelter at 5 p.m.

Warehouse 21 Shelter to Agape House at 7 a.m.

Additional Support

Shelter feeding operations are provided by Interfaith Community Shelters. Coordinated outreach by SFFD, Alternative Response Unit, Park Rangers, and community partners. The Santa Fe Police Department is conducting close patrols of shelter areas

Public Advisory

Friday night into Saturday morning, Saturday night into Sunday morning, and Sunday night into Monday morning are expected to bring dangerously cold temperatures, with overnight lows at or below 15°F across the region. Residents are encouraged to prepare for extreme cold, ensure neighbors have adequate heating, and take action to protect pets.
