Congressman Rich McCormick Voted On The Passage Of FY26 National Defense Authorization Act

Washington, D.C.- Congressman Rich McCormick (GA-07) released a statement applauding the passage of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 out of the House of Representatives. McCormick and his House colleagues passed the National Defense Authorization Act in a 231-196 vote.

H.R. 3838 will authorize $882.6 billion for America's national defense and includes more than 40 provisions authored by Congressman McCormick including H.R. 4704 - The ROTOR Act, to launch a first-of-its-kind study on cancer rates among military helicopter pilots and support crews.

"The passage of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026 is a testament to our unwavering commitment to America's national security. I am proud to have worked alongside my House colleagues to review and pass this critical legislation, which authorizes $882.6 billion for our military. I'm thankful for the opportunity to lead over 40 provisions of this bill such as the ROTOR Act that will improve the quality of life for servicemembers at Georgia installations and ensure an even playing field for Georgia defense businesses,"said Congressman Rich McCormick.
