The City of Portland is proposing changes to code governing several regulatory programs, including Amusement Devices, Games and Machines; Pay and Park and Non-Pay Private Parking Facilities; Secondhand Dealers; Payday Lending; and Social Games.

Businesses and community members are invited to review the proposed changes and provide feedback. The public comment period for all proposed regulatory program code changes is open through August 31. Visit this page to review each program, proposed changes, and provide feedback.

There are two opportunities on August 24 for stakeholders in specific regulatory programs to provide feedback directly:

The proposed changes are intended to improve clarity in City code and support public safety, consumer protection, and align with State compliance.

Following the public comment period, the proposed changes will be presented to the Finance and Governance Committee of the Whole on September 16. People who would like to testify at that meeting must sign up by September 11.
