(Washington, D.C., October 1, 2026) -The U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development announced the obligation of Native Community Development Financial Institution (Native CDFI) Relending Demonstration Program funds totaling $6.18 million to six Native CDFIs across Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, Michigan, South Dakota, and Washington to finance an estimated 43 home purchase loans and 25 home repair loans for Native American borrowers on rural tribal land.
"Under the leadership of President Trump and Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, USDA Rural Development delivers investments that bring renewed prosperity and opportunity to rural America," said Rural Housing Service Administrator George Kelly.
USDA Rural Development administers this funding through the Native CDFI Relending Demonstration Program to provide capital that supports home purchase and home repair loans for Native American borrowers on rural tribal land.
