The University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) is proud to announce that the Feik School of Pharmacy Class of 2025 ranked No. 1 in pass rate in the State of Texas on the most recent North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX). That is the national standardized exam used to assess a candidate's competency in pharmacy practice for licensure in the United States, Canada and other jurisdictions.
The Feik graduates had a 97% passing rate ranking them first in the state among the nine pharmacy schools in Texas and No. 7 in the nation among 142 schools. The state average passing rate was 87% and the national average was 86.8%. These are the highest scores in the history of the Feik School of Pharmacy.
"For the past five years, we have always been in the top three of pharmacy schools in the state for licensure pass rates, but this is the first time in the history of the school that we were No. 1 among the nine pharmacy schools in Texas," says Dr. David Maize, dean of the UIW Feik School of Pharmacy. "We are very proud of the Class of 2025 on their performance. It was their hard work and the dedication of the faculty and staff that made it possible. The Feik School of Pharmacy provides a superior education in a supportive environment. This is what makes us the 'Pharmily'."
The Feik School of Pharmacy was founded in 2004 in recognition of the need to graduate a new generation of highly trained culturally-competent, caring pharmacists and patient advocates to serve communities across Texas and beyond, with a special emphasis on underserved populations.
