SCO Secretariat delegation took part in the Sherpa Meeting of the Shangri-La Dialogue
From January 18 to 20, 2026 the 14th Sherpa Shangri-La Dialogue meeting hosted by the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) was held in Singapore.
The event was attended by high-level representatives from states, international organizations, and research centers specializing in security studies. A delegation from the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization participated in the discussions for the first time.

SCO Deputy Secretary-General Ahmad Saidmurodzoda spoke at a session on the topic "Regional Security Architecture Amid Global Instability." He presented information on the evolution of security cooperation among the Organization's member states, efforts to improve mechanisms for countering challenges and threats, and the shared assessments of regional and global security and stability issues agreed upon by member states following the SCO Tianjin Summit (September 1, 2025). The Deputy Secretary-General also answered questions from the delegations.
