The Global Electronics Association today announced that Jason Palmi has joined the organization as Chief Financial Officer. Palmi will help lead financial strategy, long-range planning, operational performance, and investment decisions for the Association. This is a planned leadership transition; Palmi and current CFO Tom Sandman will serve as co-CFOs through the end of 2026.
Palmi brings a combination of enterprise financial rigor and hands-on manufacturing leadership. Most recently, he served as president, CEO, and CFO of Ramcel Precision Stamping and Manufacturing, where he helped double revenue from $28 million to $56 million in three years while expanding capacity, strengthening operations, and diversifying the customer base.
"Jason understands that sound financial leadership is not simply about the numbers, it is about enabling an organization to invest wisely, respond quickly, and deliver greater value for the people it serves," said John W. Mitchell, Global Electronics Association president and CEO. "His experience at the intersection of finance, operations, manufacturing, and growth will be a tremendous asset as we continue expanding our impact for members and the global electronics ecosystem."
Why it matters
The Association supports a rapidly changing, globally connected electronics industry through membership, advocacy, standards, research, education, events, and market intelligence. Palmi will partner with the executive leadership team and Board of Directors to strengthen financial planning, investment discipline, risk management, and operational decision-making across the organization's international activities.
His experience includes leading global finance for a $1 billion global business unit at ConAgra, developing core financial disciplines at Medline, and holding senior finance roles at Zurich. Across those roles, he developed expertise in P&L management, forecasting, pricing and margin strategy, capital governance, profitability analytics, and executive reporting.
"Global electronics manufacturers are navigating an environment defined by supply chain complexity, investment needs, policy change, and accelerating innovation," Palmi said. "I am excited to join the Association and work with the team to ensure the organization has the financial insight, operational agility, and long-term discipline needed to advance its mission and create value for members around the world."
Planned leadership transition
Palmi and current CFO Tom Sandman will serve as co-CFOs through the end of 2026. Palmi will assume the CFO role at the start of 2027, while Sandman will remain in an advisory capacity through the first quarter before retiring.
"Tom has built a strong financial foundation for the Association, and we are deeply grateful for his leadership and commitment," Mitchell said. "This planned transition pairs Tom's institutional knowledge with Jason's fresh perspective and gives us the continuity needed to move confidently into 2027."
