NASHVILLE, Tenn. (October 3, 2026) - The Nashville Department of Emergency Communications (DEC) has promoted Adrian Prather, a five-year department veteran, to Emergency Communications Supervisor.
Prather joined DEC in 2021 and has since become someone his teammates can count on. During his time with the department, he has served as an emergency call taker and dispatcher and has worked on every shift within DEC's 24/7 operation. As a Communications Training Officer (CTO), Prather helped train and prepare team members for the realities of working in Nashville's emergency communications center.
Prather will now help lead DEC's overnight operations shift, supporting the team of FIRST first responders serving Nashville while much of the city sleeps. He joins a team of Emergency Communications Supervisors who represent more than 218 years of combined service to Nashville.
DEC remains committed to investing in its personnel, preparing team members for continued growth and developing future leaders from within the department.
