City to Host "Tulsa Trash Bash" Neighborhood Collection Events This Fall

9/13/2025

The City of Tulsa is launching the inaugural Tulsa Trash Bash, a new community cleanup initiative designed to help residents across Tulsa neighborhoods to legally and responsibly dispose of unwanted household items.

These events are a part of the City's ongoing efforts to reduce illegal dumping and provide residents with neighborhood-level disposal options.

The free events will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Oct. 4 at Reed Park | 4233 S. Yukon Ave.
  • Oct. 18 at Chamberlain Park | 4940 N. Frankfort Ave.
  • Nov. 15 at Hicks Park | 3443 S. Mingo Rd.

"These events are designed to deliver another option to Tulsa residents to get rid of waste other than curbside, drop off, or bulky waste," said Philip Eakes, Refuse & Recycling Systems Manager. "We know the more accessible we make our trash services to Tulsa residents, the better we can manage illegal dumping and reduce contamination of our recycling stream. This free service is just another way to keep Tulsa greener, cleaner and create healthier neighborhoods."

Participation Requirements
Residents must bring a driver's license or a current City of Tulsa utility bill to verify proof of residence.

  • Only residents of Tulsa are eligible. Commercial businesses will not be allowed.
  • Each participant may bring one carload or truckload of refuse. Trailers will not be permitted.
  • All participants must unload their own vehicles into the refuse containers. No staff will be available to assist with unloading.

There will be three, 30-cubic-yard refuse containers available per event, so availability will be first come, first served. An electronic waste (e-waste) truck will also be on site to collect items such as televisions, laptops and computer monitors.

  • Appliances of any kind
  • Yard or Green Waste
  • Tires
  • Roofing Materials
