New Brunswick to Welcome Back Rutgers University Students

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (August 23, 2026) - The City's population is set for its annual expansion as thousands of Rutgers University students return to the banks of the Raritan River.

From Aug. 24 through Aug. 31, students will participate in the annual rite of passage-Move-in Day-unloading laptops, textbooks, mini-fridges, bicycles, speakers, and desk lamps into their new dorm rooms and residences.
