DOE Publishes Program Notices Advancing Home Energy Rebate Programs
On June 1, 2026, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) published Home Energy Rebates Program Notices, outlining how to proceed with the Home Owner Managing Energy Savings Rebate Program (HOMES) and the High-Efficiency Electric Home Rebate Program (HEEHR). The action follows U.S. Secretary of Energy Wright's commitment during a recent Congressional hearing to move the rebate programs forward. NASEO will continue to coordinate with DOE leadership and State and Territory Energy Offices to support the launch of new programs and refine existing programs.
