Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Northern Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Mac Levey dba Sastrugi Ventures LLC

PROJECT NAME: LAS 36154

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: The applicant proposes to use land north adjacent to the Gold Creek Runway for a staging area. Located near milepost 197 of the Dalton Highway.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Section 17 of Township 31 North, Range 10 West, Fairbanks Meridian

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The Division of Mining, Land, and Water (DMLW) has received a land use permit application from Mac Levey, dba Sastrugi Ventures, LLC, for a staging area for parked vehicles and the storing of non-hazardous materials in support of mining operations on Lake Creek (APMA F20262479). Materials would be stored in a secured, enclosed 40 ft. connex container. The total parking and storage area would be approximately 2,500 sq. feet, with access to the area via highway vehicle via the adjacent Dalton Highway. This permit would also include the initial clearing of the area, the site consists of sparse Black Spruce and moss vegetation.

REQUESTED TERM: 5 years

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity.
