Global experts head west for inaugural robotics and AI conference

  • Perth will host the inaugural Indo-Pacific Robotics, Autonomy, AI and Cyber Conference (IPRAAC) on 7-9 October 2025
  • IPRAAC builds on the success of the Indo-Pacific Space and Earth Conference in 2023 and 2024
  • The event will bring together over 400 attendees and more than 70 speakers, showcasing global advancements in robotics, AI, autonomy, and cyber technologies

Perth will be centre stage for the artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics sector next month when it plays host to an inaugural international conference.

The first Indo-Pacific Robotics, Autonomy, AI and Cyber Conference (IPRAAC) will take place on 7-9 October 2025.

Building on the success of the Indo-Pacific Space and Earth Conference in 2023 and 2024, IPRAAC will bring together leading experts, innovators, and decision-makers from across the globe to explore emerging opportunities in robotics, autonomy, artificial intelligence, and cyber technologies.

Through interactive sessions, workshops, and discussions, the conference will offer a unique platform to examine the transformative potential of these technologies and their global impact.

IPRAAC aims to foster cross-sector collaboration and drive innovation across key industries.

Organisers expect more than 400 attendees from industry, government, and research sectors, with over 70 speakers to be featured from fields including mining, space, energy, agriculture, defence, and emergency services.

Key speakers include:

  • Dr John Blitch (USA) - Cognitive Scientist and Emergency Response Consultant, Blitz Solutions; Former Senior Research Scientist, US Air Force Research Laboratory; Former Program Manager, DARPA;
  • Dr S. Kate Conroy - Wing Commander, Responsible AI Lead, Jericho Disruptive Innovation, Royal Australian Air Force;
  • Roger Hunter (USA) - Program Manager, Small Spacecraft Technology Program, NASA Ames Research Centre;
  • Ed Lewis - Head of AI, Data and Automation, Unearthed Solutions;
  • Hirokazu Mori (Japan) - CEO, Warpspace;
  • Natasha Teakle - National Coordinator, GRDC Grain Automate Program; CEO, AgriStart; and
  • Dr Holly Yanco (USA) - Director, New England Robotics Validation and Experimentation (NERVE) Centre, UMass Lowell.
