Official News: Beijing's Regional GDP Surpasses 5 Trillion Yuan!

Beijing recorded a regional gross domestic product (GDP) of 5.20734 trillion yuan in 2025, an increase of 5.4 percent over the previous year in real terms, according to data released by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics on January 21. Notably, this indicates that Beijing's regional GDP has exceeded the 5-trillion-yuan mark for the very first time, too. By sector, the primary sector recorded an added value of 10.92 billion yuan, down 0.7 percent from the year before; the value added of the secondary sector was 718.74 billion yuan, up 3.5 percent; and the value added of the tertiary sector was 4.47769 trillion yuan, up 5.8 percent.

In 2025, the city's per capita disposable income of residents was 89,090 yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 4.3 percent. The per capita disposable income of urban residents was 96,292 yuan, up 4.1 percent year-on-year, and the per capita disposable income of rural residents was 42,012 yuan, up 5.4 percent year-on-year.
