FORT LEAVENWORTH, Kansas - The Combined Arms Command Law Enforcement Activity and the 67th Military Police Detachment (Military Working Dog), Special Troops Battalion, were recognized as U.S. Army Transformation and Training Command's Outstanding Military Police Units of 2026 during a presentation of the Brigadier General David H. Stem Award Oct. 22, 2026, at the CAC LEA Headquarters at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
Brig. Gen. Timothy Gatlin, chief of staff of Combined Arms Command, presented the award and recognized the units for their contributions to the military police community and their commitment to supporting the Army's mission.
"This award was not created to celebrate a single good day or a momentary achievement," Gatlin said. "It was designed to evaluate an entire year of determination, discipline and execution - measuring units against the highest standards of readiness, training and leadership."
Together, the Combined Arms Command Law Enforcement Activity and the 67th Military Police Detachment provide law enforcement and military working dog capabilities that support the security of Fort Leavenworth. Their efforts help protect personnel, facilities and resources while enabling soldiers, civilian employees and tenant organizations to focus on their missions.
The Brigadier General David H. Stem Award recognizes the soldiers and personnel whose daily work contributes to installation safety, security and readiness. Their selection as the Outstanding Military Police Units of 2026 reflects the professionalism, teamwork and mission focus required to provide effective law enforcement and security support at Fort Leavenworth.
