U.S. Senator Katie Britt Votes to Confirm U.S. Attorney Nominee Thomas Govan

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.) today voted to confirm Thomas Govan, President Trump's nominee to serve as the United States Attorney for the Middle District of Alabama. Govan was confirmed en bloc by a vote of 46-43 in a nominations package.

As a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senator Britt voted to advance Govan's nomination out of committee earlier this year.

"President Trump made an incredible choice by nominating Thomas Govan to serve as the U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Alabama. Today, I was proud to vote alongside many of my Senate colleagues and confirm him. His expertise, professionalism, and deep knowledge of the legal system provide him with an incredible foundation on which to serve our great state.
