Franklin County is down to a Level 1 snow emergency as of 10:45 a.m. University landscaping crews continue to work to clear roads and sidewalks in advance of the morning commute.
The Ohio State University Columbus campus will resume in-person classes, as scheduled, on Wednesday, January 28. Online classes will also occur, as scheduled.
The Office of Academic Affairs strongly encourages faculty and instructors to offer flexibility for students whorequest special accommodations necessitated by weather and its impacts.
The Office of Student Life Disability Servicesoffers support to students. Additionally, paratransit servicesserves students, faculty and staff with a permanent or temporary disability. Curb-to-curb rides are available inside the university-designated service area.
Columbus campus is resuming regular operations on Wednesday. Staff members should work in accordance with their normal schedule, in consultation with their supervisor. The university encourages flexibility, where possible, for those whorequest special accommodations necessitated by weather.
Ohio State takes very seriously our obligation to provide the full measure of instruction to all students. Please plan ahead, allow extra time for travel and dress appropriately for the weather.
SAFETY TIPS
Under a Level 1 snow emergency, roadways are hazardous due to blowing and drifting snow, and they may be icy. The university recommends that everyone continue to dress appropriately for the weather and use caution while traveling.
