Defence Minister and Chief of the General Staff meet with Air Force personnel

Defence Minister Ermal Nufi and the Chief of the General Staff of the Albanian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Arben Kingji, met with commanders and personnel of the Albanian Air Force at Farka Air Base for an open exchange of views on the force's current priorities and future development.

The discussion addressed operational readiness, mission execution, capability modernization, professional development, and the challenges associated with fulfilling the Air Force's operational responsibilities. Air Force personnel also shared their experiences, perspectives, and recommendations on issues related to their daily duties and the continued enhancement of operational performance.

Addressing those in attendance, Minister Nufi praised the Air Force personnel for their professionalism, discipline, and unwavering commitment to duty, noting that their service is essential to safeguarding Albania's airspace and meeting both national defence requirements and NATO commitments.

Minister Nufi and Lieutenant General Kingji reaffirmed that investment in modern capabilities, continuous education and specialized training, and the development of highly qualified personnel remain among the Ministry of Defence's top priorities. They emphasized that strengthening these areas is fundamental to enhancing operational readiness and ensuring the Air Force remains fully prepared to meet current and future security challenges.
