Westbound SR-54 to Southbound I-805, I-805 Lanes, and Telegraph Canyon Road Closed Evenings March 1–5

San Diego - Caltrans will close westbound State Route 54 (SR-54) to southbound Interstate 805 (I-805) connector and eastbound and westbound Telegraph Canyon Road from Nacion Avenue to Halecrest Drive during the evenings of Sunday, March 1 to Thursday, March 5 from 10:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. for construction operations. Caltrans will also be closing the northbound and southbound I-805 off-ramps at Telegraph Canyon Road, the I-805 on-ramp at Telegraph Canyon Road, as well as the southbound I-805 at Bonita Road, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Motorists hoping to use the connector may continue along the westbound SR-54, exit at Highland Avenue, turn left, and onto the eastbound SR-54, and then use the southbound I-805 connector.

Motorists travelling eastbound on Telegraph Canyon Road will be detoured by turning right on Melrose Avenue, turning left on Palomar Street, then left on Oleander Avenue to Telegraph Canyon Road.

Motorists travelling westbound on Telegraph Canyon Road will be detoured by turning left on Oleander Avenue, right on Palomar Street, and then right on Melrose Avenue to Telegraph Canyon Road.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.

The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
