Waynesburg U. crowns 2025 Homecoming King and Queen during halftime

On Oct. 4, at halftime of the Homecoming football game, Waynesburg University announced its 2025 Homecoming king and queen, Hudson Pincavitch and Aubrey Burns.

Pincavitch is a senior finance major with a minor in accounting from Waynesburg, PA, who plays baseball and golf for the University. Burns is a nursing major from Kittanning, PA, and is a member of the women's basketball and tennis teams. The king and queen were chosen by their peers via ballot.

"It means a lot to me," said Pincavitch. "It was an honor to be viewed highly by my peers. I did not expect to win, as I knew the other nominees I was running against. They are all great men who are very involved on campus."

Pincavitch, who plans to work in corporate finance after graduation and is currently an intern at Core Natural Resources, shared that the community at Waynesburg is not something he takes for granted.

"A community that truly cares about who you are is invaluable," said Pincavitch. "Here, you have the opportunity to grow in whatever field interests you with the support of faculty, peers, and the strong community here in Waynesburg."

In addition to the announcement of king and queen, Homecoming Saturday was filled with athletic events, department activities and brunches to celebrate returning alumni. The University dedicated several campus spaces throughout the weekend, including the Ralph "Jake" Porter ('32) Pavilion at Wiley Stadium, the Margaret "Peg" Porter Business Office and the Enid Hope (Waters '46) Crockard Classroom in the Department of Education.

Consistently ranked a best value school, Waynesburg University's Strategy for the 21st Century affirms its commitment to developing an entrepreneurial mindset and ethical leadership skills for all students. Rooted in its mission of faith, learning and service, the private, Christian University is located on a traditional campus in the hills of southwestern Pennsylvania.
