PASADENA, Calif.- The City of Pasadena invites residents and visitors to celebrate the 28th Annual Pasadena Latino Heritage Parade and Festival on Saturday, October 10, 2026. The event is presented by the City of Pasadena Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department (PRCS) and the Pasadena Latino Heritage Parade and Festival Committee.
This year's theme, "United by the Heartbeat of Our Community" ("Unidos por el Latido de Nuestra Comunidad"), celebrates the shared culture, traditions, and connections that bring Pasadena's Latino community together.
The celebration will begin with the Latino Heritage Parade from 4 to 5 p.m., starting at the intersection of Los Robles Avenue and Buckeye Street. The parade will travel south on Los Robles Avenue and conclude near Pasadena City Hall at 100 N. Garfield Avenue.
Following the parade, the Latino Heritage Festival will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. at Pasadena City Hall. The festival will feature live music by Vilma Diaz y La Sonora, cultural performances, art, food, educational displays, community booths, and family-friendly activities.
"Pasadena's Latino Heritage Parade and Festival is an opportunity for our community to come together, celebrate our rich cultural traditions, and recognize the contributions of generations of Latino residents," said Koko Panossian, Director of Pasadena's Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department. "This year's theme, 'United by the Heartbeat of Our Community,' reminds us of the shared experiences and connections that strengthen our city. We invite residents and visitors to join us for an afternoon and evening of culture, celebration, and community."
2026 Grand Marshal and Honorees
This year's Grand Marshal is Jose Madera, a Pasadena native who was born and raised in the city and serves as Director of the Pasadena Community Job Center. A longtime advocate for Pasadena residents, particularly members of the immigrant community, Madera has helped expand economic opportunities through job training, workforce development and employment placement programs. His leadership was especially impactful in the aftermath of the Eaton Fire, when he helped connect affected workers and families with relief, recovery and rebuilding resources.
In recognition of this year's theme, the committee will also honor Pasadena's "Unsung Heroes" with special recognition. Throughout challenging times, countless community members have stepped up to support and care for one another. This year's celebration recognizes the everyday workers who help keep our community strong, including day laborers, street vendors, restaurant and food service workers, caregivers, house cleaners, hospitality workers and educational aides.
