On 6 July 2026, H.E. Mr. Jukr Boon-Long, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended a reception commemorating the 72nd anniversary of Thailand - Israel diplomatic relations at the Residence of the Ambassador of Thailand to Israel. As the guest of honour, he delivered a keynote address to promote greater understanding of Thailand's economic potential and opportunities for bilateral cooperation.
The Advisor had discussions with H.E. Mr. Aviv Ezra, Deputy Director-General for Asia and the Pacific of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel, who attended the reception. Both sides agreed to further strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual benefit, particularly in science and innovation, while the Israeli side expressed appreciation for the assistance extended to Israeli nationals.
The Advisor also visited Thai workers employed in the agricultural sector in various parts of the country, including Moshav Almagor, Moshav Arugot, and Moshav Lakish, as well as Thai workers in the service sector in Eilat and Tel Aviv. He conveyed the care and concern the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs places on the working conditions and well-being of Thai workers. He also encouraged them to strictly follow the guidance issued by the Royal Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv in the event of an emergency, while continuing to work safely and responsibly. He encouraged Israeli employers to continue providing appropriate care and support for Thai workers, reaffirming the importance that the Royal Thai Government attaches to the welfare of Thai nationals working abroad.
In addition, the Advisor presided over the opening ceremony of the Royal Thai Honorary Consulate in Be'er Sheva as the guest of honour of Mr. Israel Raif, Honorary Consul in Be'er Sheva, on 8 July 2026. He also visited the Menahem Begin-Taba Border Terminal at the Israel-Egypt border in Eilat on 9 July 2026 to review contingency plans for the evacuation of Thai nationals in the event of an emergency.
