Closure of Rollins Street west of South College Avenue, May 18-June 5

(COLUMBIA, MO) - Beginning Monday, May 18, Ameren Missouri will replace a six-inch gas main under Rollins Street just west of its intersection with South College Avenue.

The project will require crews to excavate across Rollins Street to install the new gas main, requiring closure of the roadway during construction.

The crosswalk on the west side of South College Avenue will be closed during construction. Signs will direct pedestrians to use the crosswalk on the east side of the intersection. All other sidewalks in the area will remain open.

Detour signs will be posted to direct traffic around the closure.

The work is part of the East Campus Gas Main project, through which Ameren Missouri is upgrading natural gas infrastructure in the East Campus neighborhood through fall 2026.
