Potain cranes support construction of Indonesia’s new presidential palaces in Nusantara

Potain MC 310 K12 and MC 205 B tower cranes are supporting the construction of Indonesia's new presidential palaces in Nusantara, with units deployed on both the Garuda Palace (Istana Garuda) and the State Palace (Istana Negara). The project forms part of the first phase of development for the country's new capital city, marking a significant milestone in Indonesia's long-term national development plans.

The cranes started work in February 2023 and are rented to the projects by PT Potaindo Machinery, which is also providing responsive service support to the cranes via its experienced technician teams and strong parts availability.

The Potain MC 310 K12 and MC 205 B tower cranes were selected for their reliability and consistency on jobsites with demanding timelines. Work on the presidential complex must be completed as soon as possible, so maintaining steady construction progress has been essential.

The cranes are perfect for the project, offering long reach and high freestanding heights. The 12 t capacity Potain MC 310 K12 is working at a freestanding height of 52 m and is configured with a 70 m jib. It can lift 3.2 t at its jib end. The 10 t capacity Potain MC 205 B is working at a freestanding height of 59.7 m and is equipped with a 60 m jib. It can lift 2.4 t at the jib end. Both cranes are used for lifting steel and structural components. The MC 310 K12 and the MC 205 B have now been updated in the Potain range with the MCT 325 L12 and MCT 205, respectively.

The project is a key symbol of Indonesia's future capital and reflects the scale and ambition of the Nusantara development. It has also achieved Zero Accident certification, reflecting the strong focus on safety on the projects.
