Natalya Kochanova and Dmitriy Kobitskiy Discuss Upcoming IPA CIS Events

A meeting was held in Minsk between Speaker of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Natalya Kochanova and Secretary General of the Council of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the of the Commonwealth of Independent States (IPA CIS) Dmitriy Kobitskiy.

During the meeting, the parties reviewed the Assembly's work in the first half of the year and discussed preparations for upcoming IPA CIS events, including the Assembly's autumn session, which will be held in Turkmenistan.

Dmitriy Kobitskiy also briefed the Speaker of the upper chamber of the Belarusian Parliament on the outcomes of the "Children of Commonwealth" Forum, which concluded last week in Tajikistan. He expressed his gratitude for Belarus' support of the project. Last year, at the invitation of Natalya Kochanova, Belarus successfully hosted the forum.

The meeting was also attended by Plenipotentiary Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Khomenko and the Chairman of the Standing Commission on International Affairs and National Security of the Council of the Republic at the National Assembly of Belarus Sergei Aleinik.
