GKN Aerospace Announces Plans for Potential Claims Program Following May Incident

GKN Aerospace (GKN) is assessing a potential claims program for people impacted by the May 2026 hazmat incident at its Garden Grove facility.

According to GKN, the proposed program would allow individuals to submit claims for losses related to the May evacuation order. Additional details, including eligibility requirements and instructions for submitting claims, have not yet been announced.

"Our community should not bear the financial burden of this incident," said Garden Grove Mayor Stephanie Klopfenstein. "Providing compensation to people impacted by this incident is the right thing to do, but any claims program does not represent the full measure of accountability we expect from GKN."

Community members are encouraged to visit gkngg.com for updates about the potential claims program and to sign up to receive notifications as additional information becomes available.
