Montana State offers noncredit spring courses for community members

BOZEMAN - Registration is open for professional development and continuing education courses held April through June at Montana State University. Members of the Bozeman and campus communities can learn to weld, embody the mindset of a business executive, work with artificial intelligence tools and more.

Course offerings, provided by MSU's Academic Technology and Outreach, include:

• April 2: Executive Presence for Mid-Career Professionals. Simulating a workplace environment, participants will learn to communicate when time is limited and stakes are high.

• April 7-30: Women in Welding. Participants will spend four weeks learning to weld from accomplished female industry members.
• April 21: Improv for Innovative Leadership. Participants will gain improvisational skills to enhance teamwork, innovation and leadership within an organization or in their personal lives.
• April 22 to May 6: Extending the Chatbot: Getting Started with AI Agents and Human-in-the-Loop Design. Participants will create their own AI agents and test them.
• April 30: Embody Your Space. Movement and reflection activities will blend with a short lecture to help participants transform how they relate to spaces they inhabit.
• May 12-14 Project Management Essentials and CAPM® Prep. Participants earn the hours and skills necessary to prepare for a Certified Associate in Project Management exam.
• June 3-24: Introduction to Movie Making. Over the course of three weeks, participants learn how to plan, film and edit a short movie using a smartphone or basic camera.

Also new to the Bozeman community this spring is MSU After Hours. The program invites attendees to the MSU campus on weeknights for hands-on experiences ranging from visual storytelling to stargazing. Upcoming workshops cost $25 and do not require previous experience or prerequisite work.
