Notice of Temporary Water Service Interruption
Update: 2/13/26 11:00 a.m.
Early this morning, crews responded to a water main break at Sunrise Boulevard and NW 1 Avenue. The break was identified as a transmission line connected to the Fiveash Water Treatment Plant. To safely isolate the break and begin repairs, water flow from the plant was temporarily reduced. This transmission line carries water from the plant to many parts of the city.
Due to high peak demand during the early morning hours, properties throughout the city experienced lower than normal water pressure.
City staff are isolating the damaged section. Water pressures throughout the system are increasing at this time.
Residents may continue to experience intermittent lower than normal water pressure throughout the day as crews complete repairs to the line.
For questions, please contact the City's Neighbor Call Center at 954-828-8000.
