HENDERSON, Nev. (April 14, 2026) - The City of Henderson is excited to announce its participation in CityNature Challenge (CNC) 2026, a global community engagement initiative that encourages residents to explore and document local biodiversity.
The CNC is centered around a habitat survey (bioblitz), where participants worldwide use the iNaturalist App to record observations of the plants and wildlife that live in their urban areas while collaborating to grow and support nature documentation globally.
The main event will take place on April 24, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. across three Henderson locations:
In addition, two virtual events will be hosted to help participants get started:
If you are unable to attend the main event, you are still encouraged to participate by taking photos of plants and wildlife anywhere in Henderson and uploading them to iNaturalist during the observation period from April 24-April 27.
