Free Webinar May 26: Tennessee Tax Issues for Auctioneers

NASHVILLE -- The Department of Revenue will host a free webinar on Tennessee tax issues for auctioneers on May 26 at 9 a.m. Central time.

During this webinar, our staff will discuss state tax issues for auctioneers, including information about the state's sales tax, business tax and licensing, and access to the TNTAP system.

The May 26 webinar is part of a free series the department offers to the public. Register for the webinar through our website.

The Department of Revenue is responsible for administering state tax laws and motor vehicle title and registration laws, as well as collecting taxes and fees associated with those laws. The department collects about 87 percent of the total state revenue. During the 2025 fiscal year, it collected $21 billion in state taxes and fees and more than $5 billion in local taxes and fees.
