Suspected Vehicle Burglary Suspects Arrested

TITANS (The Investigative Team Addressing Neighborhood Shootings) Unit detectives Wednesday night were in the Woodland Street area of East Nashville when they responded to a report of three men breaking into a vehicle in the 600 block of Main Street.

Detectives soon located the three suspects, Keandrez Byrd, 20, Howard Gordon, 26, and Robert McWilliams, 24, walking on Main Street. Byrd and Gordon were taken into custody. McWilliams fled on foot and eluded capture. He dropped his wallet and a screwdriver.

Byrd and Gordon were in possession of a window punch and flashlights. They are each charged with burglary of a motor vehicle and possession of burglary tools. Both men are being held on $11,500 bond.

McWilliams has two active probation violation warrants related to his January conviction for burglary of a motor vehicle. Additional charges are anticipated against him. Anyone who sees him or knows his whereabouts is asked to call Nashville Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
