TONIGHT AT 8 P.M. ET – RACHEL MADDOW RETURNS FOR A SECOND NIGHT OF MS NOW’S SPECIAL PRIMETIME “WE THE PEOPLE” ELECTION COVERAGE FOLLOWING HISTORIC 2026 MIDTERM ELECTION

(NEW YORK - Nov. 4, 2026) - Following a historic night of political upsets and a sweeping blue wave, MS NOW will continue its coverage of the 2026 midterm elections tonight with a two-hour "We The People" special helmed by Rachel Maddow from 8 to 10 p.m. ET.

Democrats' victories in both chambers of Congress mark a significant shift in the balance of power in Washington. Last night, Maddow called the House flip "a seismic change in Washington."

Tonight, Maddow will be joined by Nicolle Wallace, Michael Steele, Symone Sanders Townsend, Ari Melber, Jen Psaki, Chris Hayes, Lawrence O'Donnell and more to break down the latest results and what they mean for the country, including Texas, where Hayes described the Democratic victories as "a total shellacking." Maddow and the team will also speak with South Carolina Sen.-elect Annie Andrews about her campaign, her upset victory and the new balance of power in the Senate.

At 10 p.m. ET, O'Donnell will pick up coverage with The Last Word, featuring an exclusive interview with Ohio Sen.-elect Sherrod Brown about his election and Democrats' victory in the state.

Plus, MS NOW's Chief Data Reporter Ali Velshi will return to the Big Board throughout the evening to break down the races that shaped the country's political landscape and helm a supersized edition of The 11th Hour from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. ET to discuss what yesterday's election means for the road ahead.
