One week left to register for the Michigan Women Veterans Conference

LANSING, Mich. - The deadline to register for the fifth annual Michigan Women Veterans Conference is Oct. 2. Presented by the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency (MVAA), the National Guard Association of Michigan and the Michigan Women Veterans Coalition, this premier event for Michigan's more than 44,000 women veterans will be held in Bay City from Oct. 15-17.

This year's conference theme is Lioness Rising: Living the Warrior Ethos. Throughout the three-day event, attendees will explore their shared history while cultivating personal growth and strengthening connections to help women veterans thrive in both their personal and professional lives.

Attendees will have opportunities to:

• Connect with fellow women veterans from across the state
• Discover resources and services available to veterans and their families
• Learn from engaging speakers and educational sessions
• Experience a variety of enriching activities, including a special visit to the historic Bay City Planetarium
• Explore health, wellness, career and personal development opportunities
• Build lasting friendships and professional networks
• Celebrate the strength, resilience and leadership of Michigan's women veterans
