SWCC honors employees for years of service

During the SWCC all-employee in-service, held on Friday, Jan. 9, 2026, 18 individuals were honored for their years of service to the college. These individuals have a collective 355 years of service with Southwestern.

Honored employees are listed below from left to right, with Lindsay Stoaks, SWCC president.

SWCC 5-year service award recipients
Five-year award recipients who started at SWCC in 2020 included Kole Vogel, automotive repair technology instructor, and Dr. John Franklin, vice president of instruction.

SWCC 10-year service award recipients
10-year award recipients who started at SWCC in 2015 included Melissa Butler, nursing instructor, Doug North, assistant athletic director and head golf coach, and
Michael Sheldahl, maintenance.

SWCC 15-year service award recipients
15-year award recipients who joined SWCC's staff in 2010 included Lindsay Stoaks, college president, Jana Scott, SWCC Shoppe manager, and Lisa Shawler, Assessment Center office assistant.

SWCC 20-year service award recipients
20-year service award recipients included Doug Greene, distance education director, Josh Borgmann, English instructor, Sue Claiser, automotive parts clerk, Carla Damewood, Copy Center coordinator, and Erin Kiley, accounting.

SWCC 25-year service award recipients
Laurie Besco, TRIO-Student Support Services director, was honored for 25 years of service.

SWCC 30-year service award recipients
Wade Sick, physics and math instructor, and Tracey Evans, assistant athletic director and student activities, were honored for 30 years of service.

SWCC 40-year service award recipient
Kysa Gordon, assistant director of financial aid, was honored for 40 years of service.

SWCC 45-year service award recipient
Ann Coulter, Learning Resource Center director, was honored for 45 years of service.
