An apology: Our Oct. 7 public comment hearing missed the mark
Our Wednesday, Oct. 7 virtual public comment hearing on PSE rates was repeatedly interrupted by a bad actor's racist and highly offensive remarks. The commission takes our responsibility to hear from all interested commenters very seriously. We missed the mark with our moderation and pledge to do better in future events.
We apologize to anyone who attended the meeting and was subjected to hate speech. We also apologize for the inconvenience to the hundreds of participants who took the time to provide comments and to those who were discouraged from commenting.
Comments are still open and encouraged.
