The Comox Valley Regional Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) advises that Evacuation Alerts have been cancelled and all Evacuation Orders have been rescinded for areas affected by recent flooding in the City of Courtenay and Electoral Area B, effective 11:45 a.m. on January 31, 2026.
These actions were taken following improved conditions and completed safety assessments.
The Evacuation Alert for the following Headquarters Road properties has been cancelled:

While the Evacuation Alert has been rescinded, residents are advised that an Evacuation Alert or Evacuation Order may need to be reissued if conditions change. If required, the evacuation process would recommence.
Information will be shared later today with residents to support safe re-entry and to provide guidance on the safe handling and disposal of flood-damaged materials and belongings.
