Guidelines Handbook on Media Literacy and the Application of Professional Standards in the Sphere of Media

The document was prepared by the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting with the assistance of the OSCE Support Programme in Ukraine. The publication offers practical recommendations, references, and materials designed to help journalists, media workers and media NGOs, bloggers and future media professionals find answers to acute modern problems that can arise in the process of creating content for a wide audience or counteract negative phenomena in the information space. The guide addresses issues of compliance with ethical principles in journalism, prevention of hate speech, countering propaganda and disinformation, responsible coverage by the media of children, gender equality, accessibility issues and other topics.
