Construction Begins on Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge

Construction work has begun on the pedestrian bridge over the Santa Fe River at the intersection of Shelby Street and East Alameda Street. The project will replace the existing bridge, which was closed due to structural failure.

During construction, a portion of the river trail on the south side of the river will be closed. The sidewalk on the north side may be intermittently closed, with detours posted during active construction periods.

For questions about the project, please contact Scott Overlie, Parks & Open Space Project Manager III, at [email protected].
