George Mason contracts with Rally House and eCampus.com for course materials and apparel

George Mason University announced plans to move its apparel, bookstore, and course materials operations to Rally Houseand eCampus.com, marking a new chapter in flexibility, affordability, and student success.

Effective July 1, 2026, Rally House, known for its extensive assortment of collegiate and professional sports apparel and fan merchandise, will oversee branded merchandise, delivering a broader and more dynamic selection of spirit wear and campus gear. eCampus.com will manage course materials, providing a streamlined, affordable, and student-focused approach to textbook access and delivery.

"These new relationships allow us to take a more customized approach for the modern student in order to meet the evolving needs of our campuses," said Pascal Petter, associate vice president of auxiliary and business services at George Mason. "By partnering with providers that excel in their respective areas, we are better positioned to support affordability, improve access to course materials, and enhance the overall retail experience for our campus community."

The new operating model reflects a broader shift in higher education to separate course materials and retail merchandise in order to deliver greater value, flexibility, and innovation. Students can expect a more affordable and accessible course materials experience, alongside an upgraded selection of George Mason merchandise that reflects school pride and campus identity.

Since 1999, Barnes & Noble College has operated the university's bookstore, supporting generations of students, faculty, and staff. The university expresses its appreciation for more than two decades of partnership and service.

The university also confirmed that Patriot Tech, its on-campus technology store offering products from leading brands such as Apple and Dell, will remain in place and continue to serve the George Mason community without interruption.
