Gov. Rhoden Now Accepting Applications for Fall Interns

PIERRE, S.D. - Governor Larry Rhoden and his office are now accepting applications for the Fall 2026 Internship Program. This internship program provides students with first-hand experiences within state government and the functions of the Governor's Office.

Student interns will work directly with the Governor's staff on projects centered around their interests and strengths. The projects will allow student interns to work with the Governor's constituent services team, policy team, general counsel, and communications team.

The length of this in-person internship is negotiable, though the ideal candidate will be available from September through December 2026. The internship may be extended depending on office needs and students' availability.

Those who are interested and would like to be considered for an internship should submit a resume, cover letter, and letter of recommendation to [email protected]. Applications should be submitted by Friday, July 3, 2026.
